12/28: Home at Last from our Grand Adventure!

Since we got back very late on December 21st, I haven't had time unfortunately to write a post let alone to write any Christmas cards to friends and family to wish each one a heartfelt Merry Christmas and the happiest and healthiest of New Years. Steven and I hope that each of you had a wonderful Christmas and holiday spent with those you care about and who care about you.

Just a few hours after our return, we were beyond thrilled when our son, Alexander, his fiancee, Cory, and her parents and brother arrived to spend the next several days with us. We had never had the pleasure of meeting George, Cay and Ross before but they were the easiest of guests to host and we already miss them.

As I wrote in earlier posts, because of very poor internet throughout most of South America, I am months behind writing the blog and have likely closely to 80 posts to write! It is a very daunting task knowing I am so far away from finishing the blog as you can imagine but I intend to finish. I thank you for your continued interest in our travels and, as always, relish the comments you make or questions you ask.

Wishing each of you safe travels wherever 2018 takes you and your loved ones,

Annie and Steven at home in Littleton, Colorado

  1. Glad you are home safe! I got to host my son and new daughter in law for Christmas this year. What a blast having family with you for the holidays.
    Love to you and yours

  2. Kayle,

We were so thrilled to return knowing that Alexander, Cory and her family would be staying with us right away. Zachary did a phenomenal job putting up lights on the trees outside, stringing wreaths all along the front porch and even buying and decorating a tree in the living room as he knew we wouldn't have any time to do any of that. Guess we must have done something right to raise such a thoughtful son.

Looking forward to seeing you and Steve soon and catching up with you both.
